……………………………………………….

In chapter 2:8-10, 3:1-3, Ezekiel was given a book to eat . It was sweet as honey in his mouth, but it was written on both sides songs of lamentations/mourning.

– He would be tied with ropes, he would be unable to speak.

In chapter 4, he was to draw the siege of Jerusalem on a clay tablet and lie beside it for 390 days for North and 40 days for South.

– He was to eat defied bread baked on cow dung at set times; water intake was measured too for those days. “Thus the children of Israel will eat their bread unclean and defiled among the nations where I will banish them.” Ez 4:13 AMP

– Food and water was going to be scarce

In Chapter 5 – Ezekiel was to shave his head and bread using a sword ⚔️ Then divide the hair into 3 parts. He was to burn a 1/3 in the city after his dummy siege was completed. Other 1/3 was to be stricken with the sword, other 1/3 was to be scattered to the wind. Some was to be tied on his robe edge, and others burnt and spread to all Israel.

[This depicted the kind of judgement that would come upon Israel]

Why was Israel Judged?

“Thus says the Lord God, ‘This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the center of the nations, and countries are around her. And she has rebelled against My ordinances more wickedly than the [pagan] nations and against My statutes more than the countries that are around her; for Israel has rejected My ordinances and has not walked in My statutes.’ Ez 5:5‭-‬6 AMP
