Reflection 1: Where do your friends take you?

I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalms 122

Reflection 2:

Ecclesiastes 3:1 A time and a season for every activity.

v11 – He makes everything beautiful in it’s time.

Proverbs 3:24 – Above all, guard your heart – against sin, **emotional hurts**

Song of Songs 8:6  – Love is as strong as death! Take care

Reflection 3:

Whoever loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and olive oil will never be rich.  Proverbs 21:17

Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:21

The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord. Proverbs 21:31

There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12

All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23

A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother. Proverbs 15:20

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Proverbs 16:9

There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 16:25

Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city. Proverbs 16:32

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12

Jesus called the disciples when they were mending nets to prepare for 🐠 fishing. Matthew 4:21 – (complete, restore, make ready). We can learn the importance of taking time to prepare for a firm foundation in service, career & marriage.

Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. Psalms 32:9. Peter repeats a similar statement in 2 Peter 2:12 comparing false teachers to unreasoning animals which are creatures of instinct.

Reflection 4:

Plain water💦 versus sugared and coloured water. Which one can quench thirst? Live on?

Like a bird that flees its nest is anyone who flees from home. Proverbs 27:8

A discerning son heeds instruction, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father. Proverbs 28:7

Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies will have their fill of poverty. Proverbs 28:19

A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished. Proverbs 28:20

Whoever robs their father or mother and says, “It’s not wrong,” is partner to one who destroys. Proverbs 28:24

A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father, but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth. Proverbs 29:3

“The eye that mocks a father, that scorns an aged mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures. Proverbs 30:17

Proverbs 3:24 (Take care of your heart) **Too much heartbreaks not good for your spiritual, emotional, social and physical health**

Reflection 5:

How can a young person stay on the path of purity?

By living according to your word.

v11 – I have hidden your word in my heart

that I might not sin against you. Psalms 119:9
