Little Things Matter….

Solomon, the wisest man used the allegory of ย โ€˜little foxesโ€™, which damage flowering vines, thus affecting the grapes harvest –ย  โ€œโ€Catch for us the foxes, the little foxesย that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloomโ€โ€ (Song of Songs 2:15). His love with a shunammite woman was in it blossom, and he was careful about little things which could ruin his goal/vision/wedding.

We all experience little things which annoy us or make us annoy others:

  • People talking while brushing.
  • People talking really loud, such that the whole neighbourhood can hear.
  • People posting personal problems on social media.
  • People touching others unnecessarily, especially when talking.
  • Throwing garbage through the window โ€“ car/house widow.
  • Not flushing after using the toilet.
  • Gossiping โ€“ Heaven has no room for gossipers!
  • Pessimism that drags others down – negative energy.
  • People interrupting others every time they start talking.
  • Send this message to 10 people or you will have a bad luck โ€“ Threats donโ€™t work.
  • People who always praise themselves โ€“ we all have 24 hours in a day.
  • People chewing with their mouths open and producing various chewing sounds.
  • People wasting water and food โ€“ cover your stomach they say.
  • Rude shop assistants โ€“ they forget customer is king!
  • Stepping on dogโ€™s poo โ€“ always tie your dogs.
  • People who cough and do not cover their mouths โ€“ especially now when we are experiencing Covid 19.
  • Slow internet connections โ€“ spending a whole night downloading only 5MB.
  • Cold-callers โ€“ cowards call using private number.
  • Computer crashing losing work you’ve spent a whole day working.
  • Smoking without minding others.
  • Leaving your towel/soap and realising that it is not there.
  • When you are telling a story and realise no one is listening.
  • When you are about to sneeze then it disappears
  • When you are stalking someone on Facebook and accidentally like his/her photo
