The word of God has SO much to say about Christian wives and homemakers.
As a Christian wife – OR a single woman who desires marriage – please consider the following guidance:
We are called to build our homes, watch over our homes and manage our homes
1. Build our Homes 👉🏾 Proverbs 14:1
The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.
2. Watch over our Homes 👉🏾Proverbs 31:27 – She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
3. Manage our Homes 👉🏾 1 Timothy 5:13-14 – and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.
Dear Christian wife and mom, I invite you to consider seeing your home as a tool, a means of putting the gospel and the grace of God on display. A platform to PARTNER WITH GOD to help cultivate the environment of our earthly homes to mirror our eternal homes for our husbands, children, family & friends who get the opportunity to fellowship with us at our homes.
Notice, I stressed the word “partner with God” because we are sinners and fall short of His glory, we are incapable of creating gospel centered homes with our own skills, experiences & strength. We need God’s grace each day to help and carry us through!
