Definition: To minister is to serve. It is rooted in God’s service to mankind. Ministry presumes that someone has something to offer i.e. Physical assistance, spiritual nourishment, emotional healing, mental, financial, vocational etc.
It is not for profit/an offering based on obligation but motivation drawn from LOVE
Categories of People that we can serve:
The handicapped, incarcerated, orphaned, poor, sick, windowed, the youth, men, women, the oppressed, the mourning/bereaved e.t.c
Aim:
To meet the Spiritual, Emotional, Social, and Physical needs.
Jesus is the key model of ministry. “Matthew: 20.28: Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
