Statement of Faith

Grounded in Scripture. Expressed in Service.

At Give a Smile Today (GaST), everything we do is rooted in the timeless truth of God’s Word. Our beliefs shape our mission and guide our chaplaincy, evangelism, and empowerment efforts.

God

We believe in one eternal, holy, and perfect God—Creator of all things—existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. With infinite knowledge and sovereign power, God has purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new, for His own glory.

The Bible

We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through divinely inspired human authors. The Bible is the authoritative, infallible, and complete revelation of His will for salvation and life. It is to be believed, obeyed, and trusted in every area of life.

The Human Condition

We believe that humanity was created in God’s image, but through Adam’s disobedience, all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. Separated from God and subject to His judgment, we are in need of salvation. Only through Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled, and restored.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and now intercedes for us as our High Priest and Advocate.

The Work of Christ

We believe that Jesus, as our substitute and representative, offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin. His death and resurrection provide the only way to forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life with God.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit glorifies Christ by convicting the world of sin, regenerating the lost, and empowering believers. He indwells all who trust in Jesus, guiding, equipping, and transforming them for holy living and faithful service.

The Church

We believe the true Church is the global community of believers who have been justified by faith in Christ. United by the Spirit, they form the Body of Christ. The Church is expressed through local congregations that observe baptism and the Lord’s Supper as visible signs of the gospel. These ordinances strengthen and confirm the faith of believers.

Christian Living

We believe that salvation leads to sanctification. As followers of Jesus, we are called to love God fully and others sacrificially—living lives marked by holiness, compassion, and justice. Empowered by the Holy Spirit and guided by Scripture, we are called to proclaim the gospel, care for the vulnerable, and stand against spiritual darkness in every sphere of life.

The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, bodily, and premillennial return of Jesus Christ. His coming will be visible and victorious, ushering in final judgment and eternal peace. This blessed hope motivates us to live godly lives and fulfill our mission with urgency and faithfulness.

Response and Eternal Destiny

We believe that God calls all people to respond to the gospel with repentance and faith. At the final judgment, those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from God, while believers will enjoy everlasting joy with Him in the new heaven and new earth.

All to the praise of His glorious grace. Amen.
