{"id":2374,"date":"2024-06-09T10:16:44","date_gmt":"2024-06-09T10:16:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.giveasmiletoday.org\/?p=2374"},"modified":"2024-06-09T11:12:08","modified_gmt":"2024-06-09T11:12:08","slug":"certainty-of-gods-promises-by-oath","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.giveasmiletoday.org\/?p=2374","title":{"rendered":"Certainty of God&#8217;s Promises by Oath"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We are part God&#8217;s Promises through Faith:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Galatians 3:7-9<\/strong> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span id=\"en-NIV-29110\" class=\"text Gal-3-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7\u00a0<\/sup>Understand, then, that those who have faith\u00a0are children of Abraham.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-29111\" class=\"text Gal-3-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8\u00a0<\/sup>Scripture <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">foresaw<\/span><\/strong> that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>gospel<\/strong><\/span> in advance to Abraham: \u201c<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">All nations will be blessed through you<\/span>.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span id=\"en-NIV-29112\" class=\"text Gal-3-9\" style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><sup class=\"versenum\">9\u00a0<\/sup>So those who rely on faith\u00a0are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>God&#8217;s promises to Abraham:<\/strong> <em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Genesis 12:2-3<\/span><strong>,<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">18:17<\/span><strong>,<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">14:17-20 (<span style=\"color: #333333;\">Blessings by Melchizedek<\/span>)<\/span><strong>,<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">22:15-18<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t Give up Waiting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hebrews 6:13-20<\/strong> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">v15<\/span> And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised [<strong>Genesis 15:8-18<\/strong> In <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">v110-12<\/span> Abraham waited upon God to accept hi sacrifice for so long, until he slept into a deep sleep. In v17-18 The Lord appeared or answered when the sun had SET &amp; DARKNESS had fallen].<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>No Argument about our Promises:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hebrews 6:16<\/strong> shows that Oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>We have better promises\u00a0 &amp; Priesthood confirmed by OATH<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This oath confirms that &#8220;<em>All Nations will be blessed through Abraham<\/em>&#8221; Talking of salvation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Priesthood of Melchizedek: <strong>Hebrews 7:1-10<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Jesus priesthood like Melchizedek&#8217;s:<strong> Hebrews 7:11-28<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Be strengthened &amp; persuaded that Christ sacrifice RATIFIES (making it officially VALID) the OATH, that God has even OFFERED himself so that we can be partakers of the blessings.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Romans 4:18-25 &#8211; <span id=\"en-NIV-28041\" class=\"text Rom-4-18\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8<\/sup><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span id=\"en-NIV-28041\" class=\"text Rom-4-18\"><sup class=\"versenum\">\u00a0<\/sup><\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-28041\" class=\"text Rom-4-18\">Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, \u201cSo shall your offspring be.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><span id=\"en-NIV-28042\" class=\"text Rom-4-19\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19\u00a0<\/sup>Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead\u2014since he was about a hundred years old\u2014and that Sarah\u2019s womb was also dead.<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span id=\"en-NIV-28043\" class=\"text Rom-4-20\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20\u00a0<\/sup>Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened\u00a0in his faith and gave glory to God,<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28044\" class=\"text Rom-4-21\"><sup class=\"versenum\">21\u00a0<\/sup>being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-28045\" class=\"text Rom-4-22\"><sup class=\"versenum\">22\u00a0<\/sup>This is why \u201cit was credited to him as righteousness.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28046\" class=\"text Rom-4-23\"><sup class=\"versenum\">23\u00a0<\/sup>The words \u201cit was credited to him\u201d were written not for him alone,<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28047\" class=\"text Rom-4-24\"><sup class=\"versenum\">24\u00a0<\/sup>but also for us,\u00a0to whom God will credit righteousness\u2014for us who believe in him\u00a0who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28048\" class=\"text Rom-4-25\"><sup class=\"versenum\">25\u00a0<\/sup>He was delivered over to death for our sins\u00a0and was raised to life for our justification.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Numbers 23:19 <\/strong><em><span id=\"en-NIV-4436\" class=\"text Num-23-19\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19\u00a0<\/sup>God is not human, that he should lie, <\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"text Num-23-19\">not a human being, that he should change his mind.<\/span><\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span class=\"text Num-23-19\">Does he speak and then not act?
